The Agricultural Commission represents the Plympton farming community. The agricultural commission serves to preserve and promote agricultural-based economic opportunities in Plympton. The commission acts as advocates, educators, mediators, and/or negotiators on issues related to farming, working for the preservation of agricultural lands, and pursuing initiatives appropriate to creating a sustainable agricultural community.

The commission consists of seven members from the active farming community of Plympton, appointed by the Board of Selectmen.
