Each member town has its own School Committee responsible for its elementary schools. Under the Superintendency Union 31 agreement, three members of each town’s elementary school committee are members of the Superintendency Union 31 Committee, which is responsible for approving shared costs (costs shared by the three towns) and other administrative matters for the elementary schools. A separate Committee, the Silver Lake Regional School Committee is responsible for the secondary schools (the Middle and High Schools).
